PMR plus: Some people with PMR also have temporal arteritis where the small artery in the temporal region of your head becomes painful. Fever can also accompany this but it is a good idea to work with your primary doctor and possibly a rheumatologist to see if they might need to do further blood testing or even a biopsy of the temporal artery to make sure of the diagnosis.
