My father is in hospital with pneumonia and sepsis. he has been diagnosed as having covid as well. today he started coughing up blood. he is in hospital but we cant reach his doctor. what is likely cause and is it serious ?

COVID 19: Sepsis is quite serious. If you are 48, that means he may be 65 years old or over which places him in a higher risk group for more severe COVID 19 infections. I won't make any guesses about what caused this other than COVID 19 but this is serious. I hope you can get information soon. A hospital is where he can get the level of care he needs. Take care.
