False negative test?: There is mounting evidence that infection with Covid occurs when someone breathes in aerosolized droplets released by the person who is infected. This can occur through coughing, singing, shouting and vigorous talking at close range. If you have not inhaled any of these droplets from your partner, it is very possible that you are not infected, It could also be that it was a false negative.

COVID transmission: Your symptoms could be from a non-COVID infection. Could be a false negative. You may just not have become infected from your partner.
