I tested negative for covid-19 using a rapid test but someone in my household has tested positive and i have a few mild symptoms. i am fully-vaccinated and boosted. should i get tested again?

The rapid antigen test, especially the made in China test kit, is notoriously known for low sensitivity. If I were you, I am considered myself positive, put myself in quarantine for 10 days since the first day of symptoms. If you prefer confirmation, you need to have PCR test done but up to 10% still falsely (-). You can take medication(s) for sx as needed such as Tylenol for sore throat, etc

It is a reasonable assumption that you also have COVID 19. The PCR test is more accurate and can confirm that you are infected. Follow guidelines for quarantine from the CDC. Continue to self isolate, and watch for signs of shortness of breath. If this occurs, please see the acute care center.The vaccination series lessens the likelihood of severe disease.
