Sinusitis: Local inflammation around the sinuses can radiate to teeth and eyes, causing swelling and pain in the sinuses, eyes, nose and ears, & loss of smell/taste. Use saline nasal washes daily, oral decongestant daily, and acetaminophen for pain relief. At night try a combination med that contains decongestant, cough suppressant, pain reliever and antihistamine. Usually time will heal your smell/taste.
