ED & Diabetes: ED is associated w/diabetes but not always. Please see your doctor to determine the source of this. W/out diabetes it can be from circulatory or hormonal issues. Psychological factors can also play a role. Please start w/primary care doc and consider things such as clinical hypnosis (www.asch.net) or other therapy as alternatives or additions. Congrats on the progress. Peace and good healht.

Common problem: Above age 50, ED is very common in men with Diabetes. (50-60%) The causes are complex, but involve problems with nerve, muscle, or blood vessels. There are many treatments available, (including meds and devices) but these must be coordinated with your DR, following a full workup including a heart exam and a medication review.
