For the past 2 weeks, i have had a minor sore throat on the right side of my throat (right tonsil). this is accompanied by an occasional throat irritation that can produce a cough. no sinus probs or fever. occasional ear aches though. what is this??

Tonsillitis: Sometimes tonsillitis can cause referred pain to the ear, and sometimes the ear pain can do vice versa. You could go to your primary to get tested for strep and get antibiotics. You can try phenylephrine and guaifenesen as well as cetirizine also.
