I've had a sore throat for 5 days now. two small white dots on my left tonsil and my ears are clogged. no fever. what could this be?

Usually, a person sees the doctor if the sore throat is bothersome, recurrent, or doesn't go quickly (mainly to check for strep throat). Sore throats can heal on their own, but antibiotics are used for strep throat.
