Will a chronic inflammatory tongue lesion(after biopsy said chronic inflm.) turn into cancer?what is the %possibility?is it better removed?and does removing it decrease possibility of cancer?

TONGUE QUESTION: If the biopsy report did not mention cancerous or pre-cancerous cells, than the cancer risk would be very low. Read the biopsy report carefully and if you have any specific questions about it, you are entitled to have your questions answered by the physician or ordered and/or performed the biopsy. If the lesion is benign (not cancer), but causing discomfort then removal should be considered.
