Most tongue: lesions (in the absence of the use of Tobacco products ) are due to IRRITATION from shar edges on teeth or fillings...Have the biopsy.but NOT TO WORRY! Hope this is helpful! Dr Z

Yes: It's possible. Cancers can go from sub-clinical to clinical in a very short period of time. Please return to your Dentist, or preferably to an Oral Surgeon, for Oral Cancer Rescreening Examination.
