A member asked:

I'm 41f,never-smoker and social drinker.had an oral biopsy for a white lesion on the side of my tongue and it is mild dysplasia with hyperkeratosis.how bad is this?likely to turn to cancer? will it be safe to socially drink wine or champagne, or no?

translation= the area is irritated tissue & got thicker; beyond that it is negative for cancer. We never say never in medicine, but this is the kind of report I would want in this setting.
