Symptoms of high hemoglobin and hematocrit but they are in the "normal range" hg range: 11.7-15.5 mine: 15.5 hematocrit range 35-45. mine:45. what tests next and why would there be no concern if symptoms are present and both are at the high range?

What symptoms?: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, your symptoms are unlikely to be due to your hemoglobin/hematocrit. It would require investigation to find the cause of your symptoms, which you did not describe. Wish you good health!
