Always: Follow your prescriber's recommendations. It sounds like you might not be ready to stop taking it and it would be OK to mention your worries to your prescriber, but otherwise with no context ( as to which disease is being treated, for how long, etc) hard to provide any meaningful suggestion.

No difference: Adderall XR is a short acting medicine, it does not really build up in your system -so no need for weaning . Every am you have pretty much none left in your system so just stopping it is the day to discontinue. Best Wishes
