A member asked:

Had a test done one was the syphllis cascade ab reflex which was positive then followed up by rpr which was non reactive then followed by tppa which was non reactive, what are the chances this was a false positive and i do not have syphllis?

Good chance: There is a good chance that the Syphilis antibodies test result was a false positive if the RPR and TPPA are negative. Syphilis testing is complex, so one's doctor may recommend retesting if the patient's history or exam suggests syphilis.
