The false: Negative rate is low though i can't quote it. I would retest if for nothing other than to ease your mind. Good luck but i bet u don't have it.

Not true- please refer to my answer- this happens if a high index of suspicion is present for syphilis. Blood needs to be diluted first before re- testing the RPR.

Ok, thank you, I'm not sure what the false negative rate actually is but I see little syphilis despite doing many screens and the RPR is our screening test in OB/GYN. Thank you, good information.
