A member asked:

What is the age limit for a childrens hospital? do doctors and nurses get annoyed treating a 20 year old or is that still considered fairly young?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends: Kids with special needs & thus regular hospital contact are often seen into late teens if not later. This is determined by their specialty care docs and their eventual transition into adult specialties. Kids with no special hospital needs need to start transitioning into adult care and services when reasonable, usually by high school graduation.
