See a Bariatrics doc: Your surgery is special and is most often successful in hospitals with groups providing care. I suggest you seek such a place and get the opinion of the surgeon(s) from the group that cares for bariatrics.

Visit the bypass doc: I don't know what kind of bypass you had, but if you are having significant symptoms, as you describe, then a visit to the surgeon who did the procedure is the right thing to do. Even know it was 12 years ago, the bypass doc can tell you exactly what you had done, and you can use this information to visit a new doctor, who can then determine what needs to be done now. Stop the Ibuprofen also.
