I have red veiny bumps in the back of my throat and under my tongue and white patches throughout my mouth i'm currently taking penicillin for a strep throat i had and just got diag with hsv2 so i dont know if that is related ?

Possible, unlikely: HSV2 is an unlikely cause of these oral symptoms, but might be possible if a) the "white spots" are open sores and painful, and b) if there is evidence HSV2 was acquired in the last 2-3 weeks. Do you have genital herpes symptoms? Was HSV2 diagnosed by swab test (oral or genital) or blood test? If blood, the result needs to be strongly positive; weakly positive results often are false.
