Monday i was given penicillin v 500 mg for strep throat. still have a lot of pain & now i have a horrible taste in my mouth. how long to take effect?

Rule of thumb: I tell my patients if they are not better, much better, in 48 hours, likely the medicine is not working. So in 2 days and you still have problem go back to your doctor. We say that as we don't want our patients to have complications of a disease left untreated properly.
