A member asked:

My lateral incisors are missing. i've had maryld bridges, but i'd like to try implants. problem is the roots above my central incisors jut out into the space where my lat. incisors ought to be. how likely is it that an orthodontist could fix this?

Get a consultation: Most orthodontic practices provide complimentary consultations. It is very likely that room can be created, but since each case is different, you'll need to get a definitive answer from someone who can actually examine you and treat you. Make the call.

Wise choice: Implants/crowns are a more stable and esthetic solution than a Maryland Bridge. If the roots of the teeth adjacent to the planned implant space are impinging on the space, a specialist Orthodontist can ideally reposition the teeth. As Initial Orthodontic Examinations are usually free, ask your General Dentist to recommend the Orthodontist he prefers to work with.
