Normal: It is common for the gums to shrink back following a surgical procedure. Once the inflammation dissipates, the gums will turn pink and firm. Some recession can be normal. Keep the site clean but don't be too rough. Soft or an electric toothbrush is recommended to effectively maintain and not damage tissue. I am sure your surgeon will monitor the healing to assure great results. Good luck.

Call: Immediately call the specialist (Oral Surgeon, Periodonist, Prosthodontist) or General Dentist who placed your implants. Surgical revision may be necessary.
