Not related: Whether a person would read better with reading glasses is an optics (physics) problem. Eye redness is most often a problem of allergies or viral infections, less often of non-viral infections, and rarely due to inflammatory disorders of the body. Itchy eyes is most often related to eye allergens and eye irritants, but itchy eyes can be due to dryness (decreased tears) or viral infections too.
