Push yourself: I would encourage you and your spouse to start off by making simple decisions such as cutting out the junk such as soda, sugar, processed carbs, and go from there. Then from there, I would focus on an anti-aging regimen. Align with a personal physician who shares these views. There are many interesting studies on intermittent fasting, omega-3 supplementation, co-q-10, etc.

Basic principles:: There is no single perfect diet for everyone as we have biochemical individuality but I advise everyone to eat a variety of organic fruits and vegetables and quality proteins. What you don't eat is just as important: minimize fried foods and sugars, avoid GMO foods. Whole grains in moderation, not much gluten.
