One month ago i developed an extremely painful canker sore on my tongue. pain lasted one week. been feeling totally normal since, however theres still a white spot present, albeit smaller. is it a scar? or will it eventually disappear? thanks

Can't tell: Without a physical examination it is impossible to answer your question. 2 thoughts: 1) What you are looking at may be just that, scar tissue, and 2) however the rule of thumb is that any lesion lasting more than 14 days from onset must be evaluated. Please see your General Dentist, a specialist in Oral Pathology or Oral Medicine, or a specialist Oral Surgeon now.
