Ulcer: It sounds like an aphthous ulcer, would recommend seeing an ENT or dermatologist. Sometimes these can be due to viruses.

YES: It can be all of the above or it could possibly be something else. If it does not resolve on its own, consider having the sores checked by a dentist or dr.

Ulcer: Location not unusual, but canker sores usually caveated rather than raised. Usually last 10 days - 2 weeks and heal on their own. If clusters appear,may take longer to heal. See your Dentist for proper diagnosis and appropriate treatment(laser or palliative) or observation.
