I am trying to find out if a sinus ct scan has a radiation dose that is low or high? i was told by the radiologist that it would be 500 mgycm per centimeter. is this low or high? i am trying not to get much radiation due to other ct scans ive had.

Sinus CT: A limited sinuses CT study would have the same radiation dose as a plain x-ray for the sinuses. You may want to give the radiologist your complete history of the CT studies you had and the timing, the radiologist woyld be able to advise you better then on whether to pursue the study or not, and suggest an alternati6, best wishes
