Basics: A person performs at their best when they get adequate restorative sleep, have no illness, are properly nourished & in a comfortable setting. I am leery of ever accepting an ADHD diagnosis for an adult that did not have it as a kid but it can happen. You start the process by seeing your doc & ruling out/treating all the listed issues. Only then can you/they consider ADHD.

Evaluation: Consider evaluation by a clinical psychologist or a psychiatrist to determine if you meet diagnostic criteria for ADD/ ADHD. Please don't rely on self-tests to diagnose yourself.
