A member asked:

Im prescribed adderall for adhd and theres a nationwide shortage of medication. what can i do so that rationing medication (taking a quarter of my normal dose) works better to control symptoms?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

There are other medications that help ADHD such as Strattera which has been approved for ADHD. As well, venlafaxine has also shown some benefit although it has not been officially approved for ADHD. Best to talk with your physician about introducing a second medication for better treatment.
