Both medications : help keep the neurochemical norepinephrine circulating in the part of the brain that sustains attention & inhibits behavior. The underlying physiologic changes that impact brain function are the same in all types of ADHD. After 4-6 wks., you may notice that you feel more " mellow". Drowsiness can occur for a few days after each dose change during initial titration.
