Probably Not: Book an appointment with a local dentist, get diagnosed, and if necessary take an antibiotic. Medications are not dispensed without a prescription to prevent what you want to do... self medicate. Taking medications needlessly or prolonging needed medical care is not a wise personal decision. Your infection, if you have one, will not "clear up" with antibiotics alone. Need to remove the source.

Please no: Self diagnosis and medication is risky. Antibiotic won't "clear up" an abscess, merely reduce it's severity and partially contain it until the tooth is treated. You may need antibiotic with immediate treatment following meds, or treatment first followed by antibiotic. Different infections require different treatment, and incorrect meds or incorrect staging can be at best ineffective. See Dentist
