Whats the best prescription to take if you have an infection after a scaling procedure on the gums? i definitely found a much better dentist, i don't blame her... shet happens and i just want to get better but i might have to go to urgent care?

It happens. Either clindamycin or cephalexin should work and ampicillin/clavulanate (augmentin) gives you a wide spectrum coverage if you are not allergic to penicillin.

Not the ER. Physicians are not trained tio treat dental emergencies. Call your Dentist or a gum/bone specialist. your problem may be due to your infection having spread beyond efficacy of a scaling alone.
