Ultrasound showed vascular nodule (9 x 4 x 4 mm) in postoperative thyroid bed. Thyroidectomy 6 1/2 years ago (suspected cancer was Neg. ) and now Elevated thyroglobulin antibodies 332 (range 0 - 6) and TPO AB 24 (range 0 - 5). Should I be concerned?
If I have no thyroid (total thyroidectomy 6.5 yrs ago) then how can I have High thyroglobulin antibodies? (TgAb 332 , range is 0-6) And High Thyroid Peroxidase? (TPO AB 24.4, range is 0-4). Thanks for any help.
Total thyroidectomy 6.5 yrs ago (no cancer). I havent missed any Synth. 137mg pills but labs today show HYPO (TSH 11.8, FreeT3 1.9 & T4 good) My Thyroglobulin Antibodies are 332 & TPO AB 24.5 HIGH! I thought No thyroid = No Antibodies. So why?
Positive for thyroid paroxidase antibodies and thyroglobulin antibodies. What does this mean? Had pap thyroid cancer in 2008 with thyroidectomy
