L5/s1 annular tear with effacement at left lateral nerve recesss after acute injury. per ortho, conservative treatment, now 10 months post injury, some steady improvement but symptom (numbness at left calf) persist. how long for symptoms to go away?

You may want: to simply get another orthopedic surgeon's opinion if you have objective neurologic symptoms and an MRI consistent with the findings, AND you are a good surgical candidate.
