Rest and Relaxation.: Low back disc herniations have a way of causing pain and numbness under normal activity levels. Running, you must understand, will take you another level of aggravation. You need to have your back evaluated, and given protocols for dealing with a sick back.

Comments: Do feel that many of these disc herniations can desiccate and shrink over period of 9-10 months, but clearly, if things get worse, and disc herniates further, could get to a surgical intervention. Physical therapy with potential McKenzie exercises, may be best approach. Do NOT do this on your own.
