Need Imaging: MRI with contrast would be most helpful to see scar tissue, nerve entrapment and disc pathology. You must be a candidate for exposure to magnetic fields (no metal fragments in the eye, no certain implanted things, etc). Would need decent kidney function too. CT is complementary to see bone and bone graft from a fusion. Until more info is available, no one can say prognosis or treatment.
