A member asked:

Some doctors say normal menstru cycle length should not exceed 32 days. some say up to 35 days.which is true?why the mixxed opinions?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

28 day cycles: are the "ideal", variation plus or minus 7 days is considered "normal", this is what makes natural family planning less reliable in some cases. You can always figure when the last ovulation occurred, the next can be variable. 32 days is 4 days longer than normal 28 days, and so on. So both 32 and 35 can be true, opinions can vary slightly, but the underlying truths are still there.
