My serum magnesium is 0.78mmol/l but online it says 0.85 is normal, but my doctor says 0.70 is normal. which is true? am i deficient or fine?

Normal: Every laboratory runs tests on multiple people to establish their normal values, so normal ranges vary from lab to lab. Usually values between 0.6 -1.1 mm are considered normal, so your value of 0.78 is well within the normal range.
