Trends: a single late period is not enough to qualify you for a diagnosis of irregular periods. Keep a calendar of your bleeding in order to find out for sure whether or not you truly do menstruate every 30 days or if you experience more fluctuation. I would not be too concerned unless you are missing more than three periods per year.
