A member asked:

My right eye got uveitis about a month ago. got cortisone eye drops from the specialist and most of the symptoms are gone. the only problem i still have is that the pupil stays dilated. will this resolve itself or should i go back to the optometrist?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Check with eye docto: When treating uveitis ophthalmologists generally prescribe cortisone eye drops to treat the inflammation and a cucloplegic eye drop to keep the pupil dilated to help relieve pain and to prevent the Iris (colored part of the eye) from sticking to the lens Of the eye which can produce problems later. Check with your doctor to see if that is the case. If not, it should be checked.
