A member asked:

Is it still possible to buy belladonna eye drops to dilate pupils?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Needs rx: Atropine is the most common belladonna product and there are some related drugs all available in drop and ointment form. These require a prescription to obtain. They affect focusing so use is uncomfortable as it disturbs the vision - especially at near - and also the eyes are light sensitive due to the dilation. These should only be used with the advice of your ophthalmologist.
