A not: uncommon result of the drug(s) used to keep the pupils dilated enough for a complete retinal examination! The dose can vary (the amount that actually reaches the eye differs from side to side. The 23 hours is a bit longer than usual and if there is not SIGNIFICANT return to normal tomorrow the eye professional who did your exam should be contacted!! Hope this helps Dr Z
