Signs that a root canal tooth is fractured. also would a fracture always show up on a 2d xray or cbct scan?

Not Always: A hairline crack may not be visible on any radiograph. It will, however, allow saliva (and bacteria) to seep in and cause inflammation and possibly an infection. Micromovement of the tooth pieces upon biting will also irritate the surrounding bone.
