Yes & no: It would not survive in the marketplace if it was dangerous. However, I would stick with something simple & less costly. Carnation makes a product labeled "essentials" that can be found ready made or in packets to be added to milk. They are similar to Ensure or other products used in recovering surgery patients. With any such product there is a potential for weight gain.
