A member asked:

Are endometrial cells cancer cells and why would they show up in a pap test 51 premenopausal no other symptoms gynecologist doesnt seem worried ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Pap endometrium: Endometrial cells come from inside the uterus are often extruded when a pap smear is taken. However at age 51, if you are having abnormal bleeding of any kind, return to the GYN MD for a endometrial biopsy to rule out endometrial cancer.
