A member asked:

Gynaecologist has referred me for hysteroscopy to determine the reason for my thick period blood. im worried about cancer , had clear ultrasound and pap. how common is endometrial cancer at age 25? no history of pregnancy, non smoker, not on pill?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

The risk of cancer is minimal. Thick period blood is not a pathological condition. If you do not have any other symptoms, you could watch and wait. Get HPV vaccine. Wish you good health! Safe sex: https://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/health/wellness-and-prevention/safer-sex-guidelines
