Less likely ,but: There is no really an established connection between getting tattoo and having the deep vein thrombosis or pulmonary embolism. Having said that, there is indeed a case report of getting DVT with PE due to the infected tattoo and prolonged immobilization caused by pain. So go to the trusted tattoo parlor that practices adequate sanitation and prevent prolonged immobilization is paramount .
