Activity level?: Probably don't need heparin but would strongly recommend compression stockings especially at times when you know you will be sitting, standing, or immobile for any long period. Daily aspirin 81mg probably a good idea if not allergic but for more potent blood thinning should have venous evaluation and vascular consult.

HELLO! I would also add that with your history a good general evaluation with vascular workup is more than a good idea. Leg swelling can be due to both local ( lower limb ), issues but can also be due to systemic problems as well. ie: pulmonary or congestive heart issues.

Dvt: Would recommend evaluation as quickly as possible
Swelling is a real symptom of dvt even though other things can be at play
