I have great swelling in my foot and calf had a dvt many years ago but leg does not radiate heat do i need heparin??

Activity level?: Probably don't need heparin but would strongly recommend compression stockings especially at times when you know you will be sitting, standing, or immobile for any long period. Daily aspirin 81mg probably a good idea if not allergic but for more potent blood thinning should have venous evaluation and vascular consult.

Dvt: Would recommend evaluation as quickly as possible Swelling is a real symptom of dvt even though other things can be at play
