DVT: You should be consulting with your doctor over what is going on and what options you have for trying to improve it. If you have chronic venous outflow obstruction from your legs you should know what to expect.

Probably: Ultrasound exam to see current state of the veins and reflux will give a guidance. Certainly want to minimize swelling and long term complications of post phlebitic syndrome and leg ulcerations. Vascular surgeons are the usual experts in this care. Rarely operations!, .
