Have a gallbladder polyp it grew from 3mm to 4.8mm in a year. can it grow if it's a cholesterol polyp or do only malignant ones grow no gallstones ?

Close Follow up: Cholesterol polyps are generally less than 10 mm. often multiple cholesterol polyps are present. They are often associated with vesicular cholesterolosis and are thought to have no malignant potential,Risk factors. PSC, Gallstones, Age >60, Polyp >6mm.polyps Surgery is rec. for 10 mm polyps, fast-growing polyps, sessile & wide based polyps. You should get serial US done every 6 months .
