Maybe: Polyps are mistaken for small stones, there is no urgency. Polyps are not removed but treated by cholecystectomy. Early cancer which is rare may present as a polyp. If other causes of pain are ruled out consider removing your gallbladder.

CCK HIDA SCAN: Ask your physician to order a cck hida scan, itwill give you an ejection fraction of your gb and if abnormal have your surgeon remove your gallbladder.
